Is Tap Water Safe to Drink in Armenia?

Armenia’s water originates from mountain springs, rivers, and Lake Sevan — the country’s largest freshwater body. Yerevan’s supply comes largely from the Aparan and Azat reservoirs and deep artesian wells via the Yerevan Jur distribution network. Smaller cities rely on older gravity-fed systems from mountain sources.
