Best Tap Water in US Cities

The 100 US cities on TapWaterGuide are all served by utilities regulated under the EPA Safe Drinking Water Act; each city page notes any recent violations. This ranking highlights cities whose water is exceptional by source quality — several draw from protected watersheds so clean they're exempt from full filtration requirements, a distinction held by only a handful of U.S. systems. The numbered order is an editorial judgement, not a measurement — see how the rankings are made.
